QE2's journey to Palm Jumeirah, Dubai

Dubai: The Queen Elizabeth 2, the world's most famous ocean liner, has departed from Southampton, UK, almost 15 days ago.
On arrival in Dubai on November 26, which is today the QE2 will be greeted at The World islands by a flotilla of local yachts, boats and leisure-craft led by a Royal Navy frigate. Local yacht and boat owners are encouraged to take part in the "royal" welcome and accompany the QE2 through the Arabian Gulf to Mina Rashid. With the QE2's imminent arrival in Dubai,

Plans for QE2 include her transformation into an ultra-luxury floating hotel where she'll form the centre-piece of a luxurious residential, entertainment, marina and hotel development off the trunk of Palm Jumeirah," Ursprunger said.

Yes to Turkey, for Europe's sake

"I have been reading this morning article about Turkey and its membership to EU, and found it interesting to read before saying more you can read bellow:"

Michel Rocard, a towering figure of the French left, has emerged as an eloquent and powerful advocate of Turkey's membership of the European Union. He has thus thrown down the gauntlet to President Nicolas Sarkozy, who has made no secret of his diehard opposition to Turkish membership.

In terms of French opinion, Rocard seems to be scoring points and winning young people to his views, judging from the enthusiastic attendance at his public lectures, including one in Paris last Monday at France's National Foundation of Political Sciences (known familiarly as Sciences Po), where speaker after speaker rose in support of him.

Patrick Seale is a commentator and author of several books on Middle East affairs.

Bizde bitirilen Cumhuriyet, belki oralarda başlar." yazin baslangicini buradan okuyabilirsiniz.
